FREDO AUNT'S PLACE

A member of the hip-hop collective and West London gang Harrow Road Boyz, Fredo, has made his way in world from the ground up. He's just released his 4th album, with the enlightened title, Money Can't Buy Happiness, a vivid biography of Fredo's life. 'Aunt's Place' is a hard-hitting tale that's laced with tragedy, and soaked in crime. Based around an ominous melody, Fredo tells us about friends in prison, 'Billy just done a 6, now he's looking at the strip', as well as his family life, 'mum kicked me out the house, I'm at my aunt's place...', 'when I should have been in lessons with my classmates.'. Fredo explains, of the new album, "I really thought that once you have money you can’t not be happy inside even if stuff’s going on but it’s not like that. I felt like the project I was working on before was me but doesn’t really explain me. I don’t want people thinking that certain things I rap about are important or the key of life because they’re not. Most things I rap about are just what I been through or reality for me and my friends". Check out 'Aunt's Place' here. -Ellie Rose-Davies
